C3B Langing Gear
The first thing was to build a fixture to hold the fuse level. Next, a temporary tube was put between the two alxes.
Then we tack welded the axles to the tube with the correct amount of toe in. Then the whole thing was set in place with plumb bobs and levels.
New legs fabricated and welded together. Ready for the temporary tube to be cut out.
The gear legs epoxy primered and balsa glued in place to gve it its shape.
The gear legs are wrapped with 2" finish tapes and our ready for their coats
